It has been a great 50 years in the running of La Bonne Chute Restaurant and Sports Bar! Situated in Tamarin and known as the oldest restaurant to exist on the West Coast of Mauritius, we take pride in the quality service and food the place offers.

World Cup 2018 Finals Live on The BIG Screen @ La Bonne Chute Restaurant & Bar

Come and join us this weekend for the World Cup 2018 Finals, live on the BIG Screen!

Our restaurant will be open on Saturday 14th of July and Sunday 15th of JULY to show both matches. On Saturday the restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner and on Sunday it will be open for dinner only. Our sports bar will also be open on both days as from 5PM

England will be playing Belgium at 6PM on Saturday and France will take on Croatia for the final on Sunday at 7PM.

The atmosphere will be amazing so gather a group and join us for the finale.

On Thurday June 28th, we are organizing a blind wine tasting match opposing France to South Africa.

The concept of our event is simple : to offer wine lovers a match between comparable French and South African wines (similar blend and vintage)

This match will take place during a dinner at La Bonne Chute restaurant

Lors du Jeudi 28 Juin, nous organisons

un match de dégustation à l’aveugle entre vins français et sud-africaiLe concept est simple:

proposer à des amateurs de vins un match

entre vins français et sud-africains

( même assemblage, même millésime).

Ce match aura lieu durant un dîner

au restaurant La Bonne Chute

· Cold Snacks : Canapés de marlin, Brochettes de poulet /mais et champignons, Canapés de poulet fumé

· Hot Snacks : Poulet croustillant, Croutons aux champignons, Plateau local (samoussas/Gâteaux piment)

· Starter : Pancakes filled with smoked marlin / Crêpes fourrées au marlin fumé

· Main course : Roast of deer with Gratin dauphinois and Vegetables /

Roti de cerf sauce Grand Veneur avec Gratin Dauphinois & Légumes

· Dessert : Pineapple Bavarian with English custard / Bavaroise à l’ananas et sa crème anglaise

For each dish, a blind taste will be proposed between one French wine and a South African one.

You will be invited to vote for your favorite wine using a smartphone application developed especially for this occasion.

Having tasted two white wines, two red wines and two sweet wines, will be promulgated the winner country by category and the winning country on the whole of the votes.

The participation for the event (dinner and wine tasting) is 1.600 MUR per person.

The full benefits of the evening will be donated to the NGO “Les Anges du Soleil”.

A chaque plat un vin français et un vin sud-africain vous seront proposés à l’aveugle.

Apres avoir dégusté deux vins blancs, deux vins rouges et deux vins liquoreux, seront promulgués le pays gagnant par catégorie et le pays gagnant sur l’ensemble des votes.

La participation à l’évènement pour le dîner et la dégustation s’élève à 1.600 MUR par personne.

L’intégralité des bénéfices de la soirée sera reversée à l’association caritative “Les Anges du Soleil”.
